Education/Interests
I'm an extroverted introvert who enjoys meeting new people and getting them connected with the larger community and resources, which means I really enjoy my work with our visitors and guests here at Morris. I graduated from Morris in 2004 with a BA in history and a minor in theatre arts. After working in the Twin Cities for 17 years, I moved back to west-central Minnesota to spend more time with family and began working at UMN Morris in May of 2023. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing, reading, cooking and baking, live theatre, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.
Why Morris?
I've often said if I could relive any years of my life, it would be my college years at Morris. I started out as a PSEO student planning to go elsewhere for college post-graduation but found my time at UMN Morris was so great, I decided to stay for all four years. And now, all these years later, I'm excited to be back, this time as part of the UMN staff. The faculty and staff at Morris continue to create an intentional and supportive community for one another and our students, and I am proud to be part of the larger story Morris and its students, staff, and faculty are telling together.
